Spring has Sprung!

Well, I realized I haven't updated our blog in a few weeks so I thought I should write a little about what's been going on in the Ririe home lately.
Last week was Mitch's break from school so we decided to visit his family in Boise over Easter weekend. We were also able to see my sister and brother that live there. Easter was a blast. Little Eric got spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa Ririe while we were there. He got some cute little outfits from the Easter bunny along with an adorable pair of baby flip flops. Monday night we were able to spend Family Home Evening with Jody and his crazy kids. The weather was beautiful while we were in Boise until the day before we left. On the drive home, it was snowing in Twin Falls so naturally we thought Rexburg would also have snow. As we got closer though, it was rain and not snow hitting the ground! How exciting for us. Until that night when it snowed though. Luckily the next day it all melted. Spring is insane in Eastern Idaho.
Our last semester at BYU-Idaho began today. Mitch started his last semester of classes. He has 5 accounting classes which I guess is a pretty large load. He actually asked me during lunch to take a vacation during one of the weeks of classes so he can get work done for a class. It's going to be busy. So now we're busy searching for an internship. Anyone know of any for an accounting major? After 6 years, I will finally be leaving Rexburg for good! That's nuts!
On my baby note, Eric is getting big FAST! When we were in Boise we weighed him and he's about 13 pounds! He's got these chubby cheeks that are so kissable. I think he's getting close to rolling over from his back to stomach. He is really kicking those legs to the side and he'll sit on his side for awhile. He just needs a little more oomph behind him and I think he'll have it. Eric also loves to stand and jump. I need to find a jumper for him so my arms don't fall off every day.
The weather has finally warmed up (at least for a few days). We're talking 60's and 70's for Rexburg. It's amazing! Eric and I have really been trying to soak it up. We've been going for walks almost everyday since Friday. On Sunday he was really cranky so we went outside and he immediately calmed down. I am so glad he loves nature. It will make this summer more exciting.
Life is good for these Ririe's. I hope it's awesome for all our friends and family! Here are a couple of pictures of our handsome boy. I have more I need to download from our camera that I'll post this week.

Your last semester... how exciting!TJ did his internship at Simplot which was really nice, but the market is rough out there so best of luck.
I just started watching my neighbors boy who was born the end of January so he is really close to Eric. He is already 14 pounds and probably more, but super cute. Keep the pictures coming....

Carrie, thanks for the update. Sound like you had a fun little break. We will keep our feelers out for a internship. So Where are you going to vacation while you husband studies? souds like he will be hitting the books hard with 5 accounting classes. Enjoy the nice weather while you got it.
Oh by the way Shem did not post this, he has messed around with the computer and I don't know how to fix it. Silly boy!

Have you looked into internships in our neck of the woods? it would be so fun to have you out here. I also can relate to the outdoorsy baby thing--Taylor has always reacted the same way Eric did to the outdoors when we take him outside! I think it's a squirly boy thing.;)
