4th of July- only a month late

I am way behind on my blogging. I realize now that I am bad about taking pictures and that is a new goal that I have. Mitch actually left for Mexico City early on the 4th to do training for work. The morning actually brought tons and tons of rain. I got in a run before it started pouring and then my niece, Sarah, and I waited to head to the lake until the rain calmed down. Luckily, it cleared up and we got to do some tubing and swimming for a little while in the afternoon. Here's Nate chillin on the dock:

We spent the later afternoon and evening at Shaun and Holly's. My brother Andy and his family came down too. Eric decided to test out the ear plugs before the evening:

Eric also thought he's be a cool kid and play on the lawn mower. This is his cousin Elise with him. They had fun.

I was inside feeding Nate so I wasn't able to get pictures of some of the fireworks but Eric enjoyed lighting some off and seeing the big ones. I was just trying to keep Nate's ears plugged but he like to look at them. What a fun holiday. How blessed we are to live in a free country.
