Life in Arkansas

We've now been in Arkansas about a month and a half. It has surprisingly been an adjustment for me (I sent like 4 summers out here during junior high and High School). First off, we are definitely not in Mormonville anymore and I miss that. Most of the people in our apartment work so there is no one really to meet and hang out with when I am home with Eric and people in our ward are not just across the street. But, it has it's perks. Mitch is enjoying his internship. I am spending time with my parents and my nieces and nephews. That's always fun. Eric likes it too. He loves both his Grandma's and Grandpa's:

Since Mitch is working 8 hours during the day, Eric has been trying to fill his shoes. Someday my son, someday.

So, we were supposed to be moving to a more temperate climate but apparently not. We must have brought the cold and snow with us. This has supposedly been the coldest winter in a very, very long time with some record snowfall. One day it snowed about 6 inches. That's nothing compared to Rexburg, but here they don't plow so you are literally stuck at home. This snow happened the end of January. It started on my birthday and finished off Friday night.

Then there's the freezing rain that falls BEFORE it snows so everything is slick. Wow, we have been taken for a surprise on what we thought we were moving to. I guess that's life!

We really are doing well. Mitch is looking for jobs as we don't know if the end of the internship will bring a job or not (Walmart laid off 300 people about 2 weeks ago). So, we are yet again praying and having a faith that we'll have some doors opening. So, if anyone hears of any accounting jobs, give us a shout out!

We will cross our fingers that Mitch gets a good job at the end of his internship. I could tell you about a job in Dresden - Germany ;-) Would you like to move in here?

Hey guys! We were just talking about how big Eric must be now. We miss you all (but mostly him). Hope the job hunting is successful... you deserve it!

Hey! We came across your blog on a link from someone else in the ward! Fun! David is still searching for accounting jobs here in Boise. It has been tough trying to find something! It sounds like you are enjoying the new home. Good luck!
