Animal House

My nieces have really had a zoo on their hands this spring and summer. They have been busy raising ducks and chickens to enter into the fair. So, when the fair rolled into town, we had to go and see how they did. Plus, we had to see all the other farm animals. Eric, of course, loved it.
Next, my nieces want to try to raise a goat. They're cute when they're babies but not when they grow up. Eric was hesitant at first but then was excited to pet them.

Next, we checked out the sheep. They stunk.

We saw pigs, but they were all asleep and let's face it, who wants to pet a pig? So, we headed to the chicken and bunnies. This one was out for people to pet.

Since the bunnies were in cages, Eric would walk through and poke his finger through the cage and poke at the bunnies. It was funny to me. I'm sure the bunnies weren't too happy.

Eric and his cousins: Isabelle, Aleena, and Hannah

My nieces mostly got 1st place with their chickens. They couldn't enter the ducks because of some animal rights activists saying they wouldn't have running water. (Dumb hippies) They also entered arts and crafts and got 1st and 2nd on most of those. Good job girls. Get to work for next year.
