If Halloween would've come 2 weeks later, Eric would've loved dressing up. But, it didn't so I had a little boy who didn't really want to be dressed up. Back in July, I went to a consignment sale at some church here. It is amazing because i pick up shirts for $.50. So, I found a Buzz Lightyear costume for $2. I picked it up knowing that the Toy Story characters would be back in because of the new movie (Yeah out of the 7 other Buzz's at our ward party, I'm sure ours was the cheapest. Sweet). Well, even around Halloween, Eric had seen the first Toy Story but wasn't that into it. We had a play group on Wednesday and he wanted his Buzz costume off after about 5 minutes of getting there (not to mention I had to bribe him to put it on). Saturday we went to our ward's Trunk-or-Treat party. I was lucky he kept his costume on through dinner. After running around while they were doing games, again I had to fight him back into his costume. He was a good sport and went to about 5 cars and actually said "Trick or Treat". Then a stray cat showed up and he was more interested in following the cat. I wasn't going to force him into getting candy that I would end up eating so we walked around. Mitch was at our car handing out candy and scaring some kids half to death by hiding and grabbing their hands. He enjoyed himself. So, a little while later we left.
So, last week Eric watched the new Toy Story and LOVED it. Now he just yells, "Buzz!" and wants to watch the movie. I guess it was just a little late. Oh well. It's a funny story to tell him someday.
