The boys Painted Room!

Man, it's been awhile. I promise we are all still alive. Our life has been full of adventure and am now taking the time to document what we have been up to the last few months. After our Idaho trip and having family come visit for the 4th of July (there are no pictures of the 4th because there was a burn ban out here because of the crazy drought we have had all summer) I decided I was finally going to paint Eric's room. Here is the boring brown that it was:
I had decided what to do awhile ago but was waiting for the fundage to free up to buy paint. I found a steal at the associate store. Gallons of Lowe's best paint for $12. Yep! Had to get it. So, I got my 3 gallons for the price of 1. I felt awesome with that bargain. We had to paint the ceiling since the peeps who build this house were lame and did the uniform brown all over. Mitch helped me with that, thank goodness. We started Saturday night. This is about how far we got:
With little kiddos the only time I could really work on this was before they woke up, nap time, and after bed. I was so excited though that I would stay up late and get up early. I worked hard and ran out of light blue paint when I was almost done! Check it out:
Luckily, I still needed to do another coat on top so it wasn't a waste but I was still bummed. I finished the bottom part and my sister in law Holly came over one day to help me do the line between the two colors. This is the end result:
I really like it and Eric really likes it. I did this in July and just got pictures hung and their name blocks up today. But, now that I've had my painting lull, I'm ready to move onto another room. If only it didn't cost so much. Be on the lookout. I've got a fun idea for our other bedroom. We've got a whole house to paint. It's going to look good!
