Christmas 2013

We were blessed so much this past year! We truly have such a great life. We always enjoy Christmas. It's even more fun with kids. This year we got to enjoy festivities with Mike and Autumn and their kids who came up from Florida. But, lets step back. The Friday after Thanksgiving we put up our tree. The boys LOVED doing this. They need some help not putting them all on the same branch (Nathan) but did a good job. Here are some pics of our tree:
We had to put the tree on our coffee table so Hailey wouldn't attack it. She is all over the place. We enjoyed a snow storm about a week before Christmas but our Christmas was only a light dusting; not super "white". It dumped on us the few weeks before and after. The boys LOVED the snow! It also got cold, cold, cold! Not a fan of that.
Mike and Autumn and Logan, Porter, Noah, and Michaela got to our house the Sunday before Christmas. The kids played so well together. Eric was so excited to sleep in a sleeping bag on the floor with his cousins. We decided to invite everyone else (Shaun and HOlly and their kids and my Mom and Dad) over for soup on Christmas Eve. The kids decorated cookies for Santa. Christmas morning was CRAZY! Fun, but crazy! Eric asked Santa to bring him a watch and a razor scooter. Santa brought the watch and Mom and Dad got both Eric and Nate razor scooters which they have been loving when the weather is nice to ride them. Nate got a pirate ship from Santa and Hailey got a baby doll. They were blessed with more gifts from Grandparents and cousins. I wish I had a picture of all three of the kids in their hats that their cousin Hannah crocheted for them. Eric's is a shark, Nate's a monster, and Hailey has an owl.
We finished off Christmas day by eating a delicious dinner down at Shaun and Holly's. The kids were beat and went to bed. OVer the next few days we did stuff with the family while they were here. The adults went on a date one night to a burger place in Fayetteville that was oh so yummy and to see the second Hobbit movie. So fun. Eric and Nate are still talking about their cousins that came at Christmas. Hopefully this year we will get down to Florida to visit them at their house!

Sounds like so much fun! Holidays are a million times better with family around. And good job surviving the cold! I can't believe the winter you've all had.
