After our brief trip to Utah, and before heading out to see the Sedrick families, we hit up Zoo Boise. Having lived in Boise, I don' remember ever going to the Zoo. I think I did maybe once. It was really fun. The boys enjoyed seeing all the fun animals. Eric was in heaven. Nate had to be buckled down or run off.
Eric and Blake in the cabana hut or something like that:
Of course, Nate has to taste everything. It is so gross! But, what do ya do with a 15 month old?
Grandma and Nate looking at the giraffes:
Nate was intriqued by the long neck and legs:
African safari with Eric driving? Get off the road!
Nate had to take a turn and something was up with my camera. It went all fuzzy. Dang it!
Eric is just about the right size to be a penguin. He'd fit right in!
By far, the coolest thing, I think, at the zoo was the butterfly exhibit. They put you in the area with them and you couldn't touch them but they were all around you and even landed on you. I couldn't help but think about the Brian Regan skit when he talks about butterflies flying around landing on flowers but it was cool. They were all over Mom. She must've smelled sweet!
Eric waited and waited for one to land on him. Finally one did. He was thrilled!
We had to keep a close eye on Nate, but he was interested by them as well.
Feeding the goats. Both boys LOVED doing this. Eric wanted to do more and more but we ran out of time. Nate loved it to and learned how to hold out his had very quick.
Riding the tiger:
Ooh, Uncle Blake! How we miss you!
Prairie Dog tunnel. Grandma is back there with Eric and some random girl got in the photo. Oh well.
It was such a fun thing to do. Sadly we didn't get to see everything because we got there a little too late. We will go again another time we're back in Boise. Oh these pictures are making me homesick!
